Day 49: X Stretch; Cardio X
1Today was supposed to be either a rest or stretch day. I decided after all the holiday meals I needed more than that. I did the stretch routine and then took a short break and followed it up with Cardio X. I had never done this cardio routine since it’s not part of the Classic program I’m doing. It was about 45 minutes long and I didn’t find it too challenging except for maybe the last 20 minutes or so. It was a good overall workout but I wouldn’t say it’s a super cardio workout.
Day 48: Kenpo X
2This is normally one of the easiest workouts for me but my lower body was a bit sore from the leg workout yesterday. Plus I think I pulled something in my shoulder the other day that was bothering me while doing some of the punches and blocks. I think my body is definitely in need of some recovery and tomorrow starts recovery week. However, with all the food I’ve eaten over the last couple of days I think I might need to throw in an extra cardio workout here and there. I was hoping for a break from food today but there is yet again another family feast. Ugh.
Day 47: Legs & Back; Ab Ripper X
0I’m happy that I was able to actually get this workout in on Christmas but it was tough today. I did abs earlier in the morning and that went well but I really hate this Leg and Back workout. It just kicks your butt everytime. I always feel like I need a nap afterwards. Tomorrow is Kenpo and then it’s a recovery week.
Day 46: Yoga X
1I decided to get my Yoga workout in before work today which meant getting up very early. I don’t think that was the best idea since my body did not like it. I really struggle with it this morning mainly because I think my body was too cold and tight. But as it went on it got better and I’m glad I don’t have to do anything more today. I need to find a way to squeeze in my schedule workouts on Christmas Day. I haven’t missed a day yet and I don’t plan on it!
Day 45: Back & Biceps; Ab Ripper X
2I’m halfway done with this first round!!! I made the best of this one and pushed it really hard. I might have popped a blood vessel or two in the process. My biceps are so pumped up. Why can’t they stay like this all the time?! Now the challenge is to get a Christmas Eve and Christmas workout in this week.
Day 43: Chest, Shoulders & Triceps; Ab Ripper X
0Today’s workout was really good. I improved on most of the exercises except the one-armed pushup! I try but that one is just impossible. I even did the workout pretty early this morning and finished up by 8:45. I just need to keep it up through this holiday week to burn off all the “bad” food I might be eating.
