Day 53: X Stretch & Jogging

This morning I did the stretch routine. As usual it felt really good. Since it isn’t really a workout I decided afterward to run two miles on the treadmill. I remember when a short run like that felt like forever but now after doing these hour plus workouts for the past couple months it went by super fast.

Day 52: Kenpo X & Jogging

Since this really isn’t pushing too much as a cardio workout I decided to follow it up with a one mile run afterward. Overall it was a good workout although I probably should have stayed on the treadmill a bit longer.

Day 51B: Jogging

Although I did my P90X workout this morning, after eating half a tub of movie popcorn and still popping Xmas cookies I decided to hit the treadmill for a short 2+ mile run. I probably should have stayed on longer, but hey, I at least did something.

Day 51: Core Synergistics

This is supposed to be an hour long workout but it probably took me about 1.25 with all the times I needed to pause it. This is an exhausting all-around workout. Since this was only my third time doing this one it was really tough. I have to do it again in a few days so we’ll see how it goes then.

Day 50: Yoga X

I had a really good Yoga workout this morning. The Yoga block I got for Christmas definitely helped for some of the standing splits and half moon poses. I was even able to get up in Crane with the assistance of the block touching my forehead to keep me steady and balance. However, after a little bit of time I lost my balance and fell, slightly injuring my knee. My body is feeling very relaxed right now.

Day 49: X Stretch; Cardio X

Today was supposed to be either a rest or stretch day. I decided after all the holiday meals I needed more than that. I did the stretch routine and then took a short break and followed it up with Cardio X. I had never done this cardio routine since it’s not part of the Classic program I’m doing. It was about 45 minutes long and I didn’t find it too challenging except for maybe the last 20 minutes or so. It was a good overall workout but I wouldn’t say it’s a super cardio workout.

Day 48: Kenpo X

This is normally one of the easiest workouts for me but my lower body was a bit sore from the leg workout yesterday. Plus I think I pulled something in my shoulder the other day that was bothering me while doing some of the punches and blocks. I think my body is definitely in need of some recovery and tomorrow starts recovery week. However, with all the food I’ve eaten over the last couple of days I think I might need to throw in an extra cardio workout here and there. I was hoping for a break from food today but there is yet again another family feast. Ugh.
