Day 22: Yoga X

0

Just finished up a morning Yoga X workout. I was feeling kind of tired and struggled a bit through the first part. I was looking forward to all the stretches at the end. There are still some poses in there that I simply either can’t do like Crane or just struggle with like Half Moon. But I “do my best and forget the rest”.

Day 21: X Stretch

0

Ahhhh. Nice X Stretch this morning. I’m surprised at how much more flexible I’ve become over the last three weeks, particularly with my legs. I can easily touch my toes now in most leg stretches when I couldn’t do that before. Tomorrow officially starts recovery week which looks like lots of Yoga, core work and cardio. So it looks like I get a break for a week from doing pullups.

Day 20: Kenpo X

0

I was up a little before 7 today and did Kenpo right after getting up. That might have been the earliest I’ve workout out before. The only pain I feel today is in my glutes. Everything else feels good. Tomorrow starts recovery week. Getting ready now to take Zach to his karate class.

Day 19: Legs & Back; Ab Ripper X

0

It felt good to work out after eating so much yesterday. The leg and back workout is probably one of my least favorite workouts to do. I can’t believe how much your legs can burn without having to use any sort of leg equipment. Combine that with doing pullups and chinups in between and it just kicks your butt. I followed it up with the ab workout and now I’m done for the day and am enjoying my chocolate protein shake.

Day 18: Yoga X

2

I’m proud of myself for getting a yoga workout in before the parade even started. I don’t think I’ve ever exercised on a holiday before. 18 days and still going strong and getting strong too!

Day 17: Shoulders & Arms; Ab Ripper X

0

I banged out both workouts early this morning. I took about 20 minutes to rest after shoulders and arms before doing the ab workout. Although this workout focused mainly on smaller muscles, I still felt pretty wiped out afterward. Hopefully I can squeeze in the Yoga workout tomorrow before I stuff myself with a Thanksgiving dinner!

Day 16: Plyometrics

0

I was really able to “Bring It” this morning. I had a lot of energy and burned through this workout. Even the Rock Star Hops started to resemble the ones in the DVD. Although I know how to throw a baseball, for some reason the baseball throws at the end of the DVD screw me up!
