My 30 Day Picture

I’ve gotten emails from people asking me how my 30 day pictures came out. I’ve included a comparsion of my Day 1 and Day 30 profile pics since that is where I’ve notice the most change thus far. I’ve lost about 1.25 inches around my waist and my stomach has gotten a little flatter. You can even see just a little bit of definition in my stomach if you squint hard enough! I’m hoping that my 90 days it will get even flatter and that I will gain more muscle definition all over. I might need to go beyond 90 days but I have a feeling by then I should be in decent shape.

Day 35: X Stretch

I used to not be a big fan of stretching but I really enjoy this hour on Sundays. Maybe it’s because 5 of the other workouts during the week are so tough that I simply look forward to this one. Now I can stretch a little bit beyond my toes.

Day 34: Kenpo X

I just finished up the Kenpo workout. I pushed a little harder than normal but it still wasn’t too exhausting. The weekend workouts are such a reprieve from the ones I have to do during the week.

Day 33: Legs & Back; Ab Ripper X

It’s been awhile since I did this workout. I had to hit pause a few times to rest because it was pretty tough on the legs. Not to mention the endless pullups and chinups which suck the life out of you quickly. I can’t wait for Kenpo and Stretch this weekend.

Day 32: Yoga X

I did pretty good with this one today but had to do it early in the evening so I was pretty tired. Still struggle with some of the poses but getting better.

Day 31: Back & Biceps; Ab Ripper X

This is a new workout that I hadn’t done before. I was doing pretty well in the beginning with the pullups and all the curls but halfway through it my arms felt like jelly. By the end of the workout I was using much lighter weights just to keep up. I could barely lift my fork to my face afterwards to eat my dinner. I have a feeling this is going to be a tough month.

The Day 30 Progress Report

I’m fairly happy thus far with the results at this point. When I started I was 157.5 pounds with 18% body fat. Now I am 156.5 with 16% body fat. So essentially I’ve lost 5 pounds of fat and gained 4 pounds of muscle. I took pictures and although I don’t look any more muscular, my stomach has definitely flattened out a bit, but still has some cushion to lose. I feel much stronger at this point and aerobically fit. Like I mentioned before, my flexibility has gotten so much better. Today standing with my legs spread wide I was able to place both hands flat on the floor in front of me. When I started I could barely touch the floor with my fingertips. I’m hoping that in the next two months I’ll see more visible muscle gains and finally get rid of most, if not all, of my belly fat. It was fitting today that I had to do the Plyometrics X workout since it definitely puts a punctuation mark on the month. Day 90, I’m closing in on you!
